The RLC Saxons played the Army Reserves (Wales) atCardiff Arms Pk on Sat afternoon. The game was a precursor to the Cardiff Bluesvs Munster fixture that evening.


The Saxons lost 29 - 10 in a spirited match, scoringtwo tries, both interceptions, well into the second half; having playedcatch up rugby from the Welsh first try in the fifth minute. The Welsh team were able to get mostof their squad of 30 onto the pitch during the game - a tall challengefor the away squad of 22 players.


There were some very promising performances from a number ofplayers:PRICE (#9 and skipper, 3 LSR), LtOscar TODD (#6, 29 Regt), PECKHAM(#12, 17 P&M) and TONU (#8) amongst others.
